Pastor Ramon Perez from a very young age knew God was calling him to serve in the ministry but he was brought up Catholic so he thought he would not be able to serve and have a family. He had a strong desire to have a family so he felt that God would use him in other areas. He searched out the schooling route and received a college degree in the sciences, obtaining his Bachelor of Science in Engineering attending both University of Texas at Austin and Texas A & M University in College Station.
He has also in the last twenty years, engaged himself in the study of ancient culture and religious studies. He has studied anthropology, archaeology, quantum physics, and string theory. In his twenties he met his wife, Michelle, who grew up in the Church of Christ. Michelle always felt there was more freedom in the service of God than the traditional route of the denomination she had learned growing up. They have 5 beautiful children and over 28 years together serving God. Together they served in various ministries, being prayer partners, small group leaders, and working in the deliverance ministry.
Pastor Ramon during this time knew God was calling him to ministry but was not sure how yet. In 2003, the Lord Jesus Christ called him to be a missionary in uniform and he joined the Austin Police Department. He served as a Texas Peace Officer for thirteen years in other police departments and became a Master Peace Officer for the State of Texas. In January of 2007, Pastor Ramon was ordained as a Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and he and Michelle founded Throne of Grace Christian church in 2009.
They started out in their home in 2009 until the church needed a place of its own. The church serves the body of Christ in many areas, first to help people develop their own personal relationship with Jesus Christ, move in the Holy Spirit and hear directly from God. During their time of serving the church, their doctrine changed from an intellectual legalistic doctrine to the apostolic doctrine of faith through the power of the Holy Spirit.
This doctrine is dependent on the relational benefit of having communion and a personal relationship with our Father in Heaven through Jesus Christ. The messages today are prophetic and in line with the revelation of the gospel of the Kingdom of God. The message that is taught affirms the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead with demonstration of the Word of God in power and authority to heal the sick, and the broken hearted and to set free the captives. In this way, faith is increased in the believer and follower of Jesus Christ and that through His presence, the heart and nature of a person is transformed through the revelation of the love, righteousness, and presence of our God and Father.
